Our price comparison calculators for energy and telecommunications enable consumers to make informed decisions about who supplies their gas, electricity and home telephone services. Below you can see just how.
Quick Comparison
Customers simply enter their annual electricity or gas usage (in kWh) and postcode, and we do the rest. Our calculator states the annual cost of being with each and every supplier that serves the given postal area.
Once on the results screen, the tariffs are listed in order of annual cost, with the cheapest at the top. We display the tariff name, the supplier and any further information which might be of interest to the customer.
The customer can further refine their search by filtering in/out one-off special offers or particular payment methods, or choose to display only green tariffs or tariffs that come with a price guarantee. They can also choose how many tariffs to display, alter the minimum contract length and specify their meter type.
Once the customer has decided which tariff they want, they continue to the sign-up section. In Germany, we currently offer three sign-up methods. These are:
Online – For energy products, customers enter all of their details into an online form. For telecommunications products, sign-up is usually achieved by a click-through to providers’ websites.
Via PDF download – customers download a PDF form, which they fill out and send to us free of charge.
By post – we send the sign-up form out to the customer. This form is then filled out and posted back to us free of charge.
Once the customer has sent us their details they have nothing more to do, as everything is handled by our fulfilment team, based in Heidelberg.
Detailed Comparison
As with the quick quote, customers enter their annual usage (in kWh) and postcode. In addition, customers can enter details such as their meter type, the maximum contract length they would be willing to agree to, or choose to only display suppliers to whom they can switch on our website (our “partners”). The customer is then directed to our results page, which can be refined and customised in exactly the same way as the “Quick Comparison”.
